Job Description

We are seeking skilled Painting, Coating, and Decorating Workers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying coatings to both interior and exterior spaces. Attention to detail and craftsmanship are essential for ensuring high-quality finishes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, and priming.
• Select and mix appropriate colours of paint, varnishes, and stains.
• Expertly apply paint to various surfaces with brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
• Repair cracks and holes to ensure pristine finishes.
• Maintain cleanliness in workspaces and responsibly dispose of hazardous materials.
• Engage with clients to ensure their expectations are met.
• Regularly inspect and maintain tools and equipment.
• Remain informed of the latest industry practices and safety regulations.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols on-site.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate or equivalent
• Technical qualification in painting or related fields preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in painting and decorating.

• Hand-eye coordination
• Color vision

• Time-management skills

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience in commercial painting projects: Background in painting larger scale or commercial premises.
