Float Tender

Job Description

A Float Tender is responsible for overseeing the production process of glass panes, ensuring that the glass is cut, polished, and treated correctly before being shipped to clients. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production flow and address any issues that arise.
• Train new team members on equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with QA to resolve product discrepancies.
• Assist in maintaining equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals and challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Technical background in glass production is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a glass production or similar manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

• Experience with industrial machinery
• Knowledge of quality control processes

Advantageous

• Exposure to glass tempering processes: Understanding and experience with the glass tempering process.
• Forklift certification: Certification to operate forklifts safely.
