Veterinary Surgeon

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our compassionate team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions in pets. You will work closely with pet owners to provide exceptional care and support.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Provide pain management and follow-up care post-surgery.
• Develop strong relationships with pet owners to encourage compliance with care plans.
• Assist in training new staff members.
• Implement and adhere to clinic protocols and policies.
• Work collaboratively to enhance customer experience.
• Participate in the development of marketing strategies to promote veterinary services.
• Mentor veterinary students and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
• Specialization in a specific field such as surgery or dermatology is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years in a clinical setting with surgical experience

• SAVC Registration
• Advanced Canine and Feline Surgery Certification

Languages
