Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of various structural projects. You will work closely with architects and multidisciplinary teams to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. An emphasis on sustainability and innovative construction practices is preferred, making use of cutting-edge software and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis using software such as SAP2000 and AutoCAD.
• Develop design specifications and requirements for specific projects.
• Consult with clients to understand their project needs and constraints.
• Review and revise designs based on feedback from project stakeholders.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and budgeting.
• Promote effective communication across project teams.
• Conduct risk assessments and feasibility studies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Professional accreditation is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
