Job Description

We're looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will design, develop, and oversee electrical systems, ensuring they meet safety standards and specifications. You will work closely with project managers to deliver projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in electrical design, strong project management skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical design projects from conception to completion.
  • Develop system layouts and schematics using engineering software.
  • Review designs and specifications to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor project progress and report to senior management.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements.
  • Evaluate existing electrical systems and recommend improvements.
  • Engage in continuous education and stay updated with industry trends.
  • Mentor junior engineers and interns in best practices.
  • Prepare training materials and deliver instruction on electrical systems.
  • Implement energy-efficient solutions and sustainable practices in design.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical systems design
