Job Description

We are looking for an experienced General Practitioner to deliver top-notch medical services to our diverse patient base. You will work in a collaborative environment focused on holistic care and ongoing patient support.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health through comprehensive medical history and physical examinations.
• Formulate treatment strategies based on individual patient needs.
• Conduct follow-up visits and monitor patient progress.
• Advocate for patient health and access to necessary resources.
• Implement quality improvement initiatives within the practice.
• Support mental health and wellness strategies as part of patient care.
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Postgraduate qualifications in Family Medicine preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a clinical setting

Technical Skills

• Emergency care
• Preventive medicine

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Fellowship in Family Medicine (if applicable)
• Certified Occupational Health Practitioner

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in women's health: Knowledge and experience in gynecological care and women's health issues.
• Knowledge of local healthcare regulations: Understanding of the South African healthcare landscape and regulations.
