Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are in search of a qualified Civil Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in infrastructure projects and be eager to contribute to the design and management of civil engineering works. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and planning phases of engineering projects, ensuring innovative and sustainable solutions.
• Monitor construction progress and adjust project plans as necessary.
• Play a role in client meetings to discuss project updates and gather input.
• Prepare detailed documentation and reports for regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and interns.
• Engage with community stakeholders to ensure project alignment with local needs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering projects

• Geotechnical Engineering
• Hydraulics

Certifications

• LEED Accreditation
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with BIM software: Experience with Building Information Modeling tools is an advantage.
• Experience in infrastructure-related project financing: Understanding project financing and budget management is a plus.
