Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to join our team at Paws and Claws Veterinary Clinic in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, a strong background in clinical practice, and the ability to work well in a team environment. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a range of animal health issues, performing surgeries, and advising pet owners on proper healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the health status of pets and recommend appropriate treatments.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results.
  • Execute surgical procedures competently and safely.
  • Educate pet owners on disease prevention and nutrition.
  • Keep detailed records of treatments and medications provided.
  • Collaborate with a team of veterinarians and support staff.
  • Manage clinic inventory and supply orders.
  • Promote a positive environment for pets and their owners.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • Relevant postgraduate studies preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a clinical veterinary setting
