Responsibilities

• Develop architectural designs and presentations for projects across various sectors.
• Collaborate with clients to define project goals and aesthetic vision.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for all stages of design.
• Supervise construction processes and liaise with contractors to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Conduct site visits to assess construction progress and verify adherence to plans and quality standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and innovative design practices.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members to foster their development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in architectural design, preferably in a variety of project types.

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• SketchUp
• Revit

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP)
• LEED Accreditation is an advantage

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in sustainable design practices: Knowledge and experience in green building techniques and materials.
• Familiarity with project management software: Experience using tools like Asana or Trello to manage project workflows.
