Job Description

As a Veterinary Surgeon in Durban, you will be responsible for medical examinations, surgeries, and holistic care of pets. You will work closely with pet owners to educate them on animal health, ensuring the highest level of care.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical procedures on animals to treat injuries and diseases.
• Conduct regular health examinations and provide preventative care.
• Diagnose and treat various medical conditions in animals.
• Provide emergency care during critical situations.
• Educate pet owners on animal health care and dietary needs.
• Maintain detailed medical records and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians and staff to ensure optimal workflow.
• Stay informed about advances in veterinary medicine and treatments.
• Provide compassionate care and support to pet owners.
• Participate in community outreach and awareness programs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) mandatory

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in veterinary practice
