UX/UI Designer

Job Description

We are looking for a talented UX/UI Designer to join our team in Cape Town. You will be responsible for creating user-centered designs and collaborating with our product and development teams to enhance our digital products. A strong understanding of design principles and a passion for improving user experience are essential.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers to define user-centric design strategies.
• Utilize design software such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma for creating designs.
• Engage in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative design solutions.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to the development of their skills.
• Ensure designs are accessible and inclusive for all users.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field
• Master's degree in Design is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, especially in web and mobile applications

Technical Skills

• Sketch
• User Testing Tools

Soft Skills

• Analytical Skills
• Time Management

Certifications

• Interaction Design Foundation Certification
• Certified UX Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in e-commerce design: Understanding of designing for e-commerce platforms and user flows.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards: Familiarity with W3C accessibility standards and guidelines.
