Job Description

We are searching for a dedicated Accountant to join our Johannesburg office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis. You will work closely with various departments to support budgeting and forecast planning, helping drive our company's financial strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Complete monthly close processes and prepare financial reports.
  • Review and analyze financial data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage payroll processes and ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Assist with the implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and support to junior accounting staff.
  • Conduct variance analysis and help optimize financial performance.
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices and bills.
  • Participate in financial audits and assist in presenting findings.
  • Develop and implement improved accounting practices.
  • Stay updated on financial regulations and best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment
