Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be an integral part of our engineering team in Pretoria. You will be involved in developing solutions to complex engineering problems and implementing design improvements that enhance our production capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from concept to implementation.
• Ensure accuracy of calculations and modeling in CAD software.
• Conduct root cause analysis on product failures.
• Guide production teams during the implementation of new designs.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Support the development of new engineering processes and standards.
• Participate in technical reviews with a focus on innovation.
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives within product development.
• Foster a culture of safety and quality in engineering practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design or similar roles

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• SolidWorks
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Mechanical Systems Design

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous
