Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Consultant to join our Pretoria office. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of South African tax laws and regulations, as well as experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns for diverse clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage client tax portfolios and ensure timely filing of tax returns.
• Analyze financial documents to identify tax planning opportunities.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients.
• Handle client inquiries regarding tax matters.
• Implement effective tax strategies in collaboration with clients.
• Conduct periodic reviews of client financial records.
• Provide guidance on tax implications of business transactions.
• Participate in audits and examinations by tax authorities.
• Mentor junior staff members in taxation issues.
• Communicate with tax authorities on behalf of clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Honours degree or higher is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in taxation or accounting
