UI Designer

Job Description

As a UI Designer, your primary focus will be to design and improve user interfaces for our exciting projects in Pretoria. You will liaise with UX researchers to ensure that user feedback is incorporated into your design work, enhancing usability and client satisfaction. Your design solutions will need to be aesthetically pleasing as well as functionally effective by balancing user needs with project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gather requirements.
• Create visually appealing designs that meet project specifications.
• Translate wireframes into polished visual designs.
• Review and enhance existing designs for improved usability.
• Develop style guides to ensure consistent user experience.
• Participate in design critiques to gather feedback.
• Utilize tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD for designing.
• Contribute to the development of user design strategies and positioning.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or similar

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in UI design

Technical Skills

• Sketch
• CSS Frameworks

Soft Skills

• User-Centric Design
• Effective Communication

Certifications

• Adobe Certified Expert (ACE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with design systems: Experience with creating and maintaining design systems for consistency across teams.
• Experience with usability testing: Knowledge of usability testing techniques to validate your designs.
