Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our team in East London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing risk and determining insurance coverage terms. You will play a key role in evaluating policy applications and ensuring that the company mitigates potential risks while providing exceptional service to clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis of applicants' financial and personal information.
• Utilize underwriting software to manage and streamline application processes.
• Monitor and report on underwriting performance metrics.
• Advise management on risk management strategies.
• Foster relationships with key stakeholders within the insurance industry.
• Review and respond to client inquiries on policy terms and conditions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or a related field
• A postgraduate qualification is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in underwriting or related insurance roles

• Policy Analysis
• Data Interpretation

• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Fellowship in the Insurance Institute (FII)
• Associate in Risk Management (ARM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
