Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Tax Specialist to join our Johannesburg team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advisory services, ensuring compliance with local laws, and helping clients navigate complex tax regulations. You will work closely with clients to develop tailored tax strategies that align with their business goals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for a variety of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies tailored to their business needs.
• Conduct tax research and stay updated on changing legislation.
• Assist in audits and liaise with tax authorities on behalf of clients.
• Analyze financial statements for tax planning opportunities.
• Provide education and training to clients on tax matters.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Prepare tax reports and documentation for clients and audits.
• Develop strong client relationships through excellent service and responsiveness.
• Continuously seek opportunities for improving operational efficiencies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field like Taxation or Accounting
• Professional tax qualification is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in tax filings and advisory

• Familiarity with SAP or relevant tax software: Proficient in using software tools that enhance tax compliance processes.
