Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse committed to providing excellent patient care. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient health status through examinations and tests.
• Manage care plans and adjust according to patient needs.
• Counsel patients on recovery and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff and interns.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
• Coordinate with special departments for extensive patient needs.
• Stay updated with the latest nursing practices and technologies.
• Engage in continuous professional development activities.
• Assist in emergency situations and promote patient safety.
• Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers.

Requirements

Education

• Postgraduate qualification in Nursing or related field is advantageous
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)

Experience

• Experience in a hospital or community health setting is preferred
