Job Description

As a Pipeline Construction Inspector, you'll play a critical role in overseeing pipeline projects to ensure that all activities meet regulatory and company standards. Your expertise in evaluating site operations and reviewing construction plans will be key to our project's success.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and document progress of construction work and report any non-conformities or defects.
  • Conduct tests and inspections on materials, equipment, tools, and workmanship.
  • Verify the accuracy of pipeline alignment and elevations using survey instruments.
  • Review and approve construction plans, drawings, and procedures.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare reports and maintain records of inspections and tests.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior inspectors.
  • Collaborate with project managers to optimize work processes.
  • Evaluate contractor performance and provide feedback.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in pipeline construction inspection or similar role
Technical Skills
  • Experience in conducting tests and inspections on materials and tools
Soft Skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
Certifications
  • Certification in environmental compliance
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Certification in safety management: Certification focused on safety practices in construction environments.
  • Familiarity with CAD software: Experience in using CAD software for reviewing construction drawings.
