Job Description

We are in search of a Chemical Engineer to join our exceptional team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing processes to convert raw materials into valuable products. You will also be involved in optimizing existing processes and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation of new processes in production.
  • Evaluate and improve existing chemical processes.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets and timelines.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
  • Serve as a liaison between production, quality, and engineering teams.
  • Use statistical methods to analyze production data.
  • Develop scale-up processes for new product development.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as needed.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for materials and equipment.
  • Develop solutions to enhance product quality.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree in a related area is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years in chemical engineering roles, preferably in manufacturing
