Stringed Instrument Repairer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Stringed Instrument Repairer to join our passionate team. You will be responsible for repairing a variety of stringed instruments such as guitars, violins, cellos, and basses, ensuring they are in excellent playing condition.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and repair vintage and modern stringed instruments.
• Perform setup and fine-tuning for excellent sound quality.
• Train new staff on stringed instrument care and repair techniques.
• Document repairs and maintain records of clients and services.
• Engage with customers to recommend maintenance and care for their instruments.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Musical Instrument Technology or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in stringed instrument repair

Technical Skills

• Ability to use various tools and equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills

Soft Skills

• Organizational skills
• Customer service orientation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of a variety of instrument types: Experience with instruments beyond guitars, violins, cellos, and basses.
