As a DevOps Engineer based in Cape Town, you will enhance our operational efficiency by automating processes and managing deployment strategies. Your expertise in cloud computing, scripting, and infrastructure as code is essential for streamlining our development and production environments.

Responsibilities

• Create scripts to automate repetitive tasks involved in deployment and monitoring.
• Engage in capacity planning and scaling activities for cloud resources.
• Work closely with IT security teams to align on best practices.
• Collect and analyze data to enhance operational strategies.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on DevOps practices and tools.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline
• Advanced certifications in AnyCloud or similar platforms preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in cloud-based application deployment and management

Technical Skills

• CI/CD Practices
• Scripting Languages (Python/Bash)

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
