Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products. You will work closely with development teams to identify and resolve defects, enhance product performance, and improve user satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Define best practices for quality assurance and implement them within the development team.
• Lead test planning and execution of functional testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Develop automated tests to enhance testing efficiency.
• Work with product management to ensure user requirements are met and accepted.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Postgraduate qualification is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance and software testing

Technical Skills

• Performance testing tools
• API testing

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Flexibility

Certifications

• Certified Quality Manager (CQM)
• Scrum Master Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI: Hands-on experience with testing APIs for functionality and performance.
• Familiarity with cloud services like AWS or Azure: Experience with testing applications hosted on cloud platforms.
