Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Bilingual School Psychologist who can deliver vital psychological support to students facing behavioral and emotional challenges. Your role will encompass assessments, counseling, and collaboration with educational staff to foster a nurturing school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assess psychological needs and recommend appropriate support strategies for students.
  • Lead individual and group sessions that address emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with educational staff to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Implement interventions for students with learning disabilities and behavioral issues.
  • Participate in school committees focused on student support and mental health initiatives.
  • Provide feedback and reports to parents on students' progress and interventions.
  • Advocate for student needs within the broader community and educational framework.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Educational Psychology or Clinical Psychology
  • Registration with the HPCSA as a Psychologist
Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working as a psychologist in an educational setting
Technical Skills
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • SPSS or statistical analysis software
  • Electronic Health Record systems
