We are on the lookout for a passionate Food Scientist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food technology, along with experience in product development and quality assurance. You will play a vital role in researching and developing new food products that are not only delicious but also nutritious and safe for consumption.

Responsibilities

• Redesign existing products to improve taste and nutritional value.
• Conduct shelf-life studies to determine product stability.
• Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration for successful product integration.
• Develop and maintain an extensive database of food products and formulations.
• Advise on regulatory compliance and industry standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related discipline
• PhD in Food Science is a plus

Experience

• 5 years of experience in food technology or product innovation

Advantageous

• Experience with food formulation software: Proficiency in software used for food formulation and analysis.
