Job Description

As a Demurrage Manager, you will be responsible for managing demurrage claims and coordinating with various departments to ensure timely and accurate payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the logistics industry, specifically in demurrage management, along with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage demurrage costs and oversee operational efficiency in the logistics department.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure disputes are resolved swiftly and effectively.
  • Analyse data to identify trends in demurrage claims and propose solutions.
  • Lead a team of Demurrage Coordinators, providing guidance and support.
  • Set performance targets and ensure team meets deadlines and objectives.
  • Prepare and present reports on demurrage management to senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime laws and regulations.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders in the shipping industry.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices in demurrage management.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Business or Logistics is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics management or related fields
