We are on the lookout for a skilled Sawing Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender to join our dedicated team in Cape Town. This role involves operating and maintaining rip saw machines for precision wood processing, ensuring product quality and adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain rip saw machinery to cut timber according to specifications.
• Set machine settings to ensure accurate cutting dimensions.
• Monitor materials for defects or irregularities during processing.
• Ensure an efficient workflow and optimise production output.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and keep the working environment tidy.
• Engage with team members to achieve production targets and quality standards.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant technical training or vocational certification in woodworking or machinery operation is advantageous.

Experience

• 2+ years in a similar role within a woodworking environment.
