Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Neuropsychologist to conduct evaluations of aviation staff, assessing cognitive functioning and identifying risks. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical skills and contribute to enhancing aviation safety.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed assessments of cognitive function for pilots and air traffic controllers.
  • Evaluate emotional health and resilience of aviation staff.
  • Collaborate with safety officers to ensure compliance with aviation regulations.
  • Design and implement training programs for aviation personnel around mental health.
  • Provide expert opinions and reports on neuropsychological assessments.
  • Assist in developing protocols to identify and manage risks in aviation performance.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care plans.
  • Conduct research to advance understanding of neuropsychology in aviation.
  • Mentor junior staff and share knowledge of aviation-related psychology.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for various stakeholders.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctorate in Neuropsychology or related field
  • Registered with HPCSA and licensed to practice
Experience
  • At least 3 years experience conducting neuropsychological assessments in high-stakes environments, such as aviation.
