Accountant

Job Description

We're on the lookout for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will contribute to the overall financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare reports on financial performance and communicate them to management.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data.
• Review and process expense reports and invoices.
• Ensure financial practices comply with organizational policies.
• Assist in financial modeling and analysis for strategic planning.
• Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Train junior staff on accounting procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CA(SA) or equivalent certification preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of accounting experience
