Veterinary Care SA is seeking a passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our thriving practice in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality veterinary services, diagnosing and treating a wide range of animal health issues, and promoting preventive care. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to animal welfare and willing to go the extra mile to ensure the health and happiness of pets.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat a variety of medical and surgical cases.
  • Develop and explain treatment options to clients.
  • Perform complex surgeries and manage anesthesia.
  • Monitor animal recovery and provide ongoing treatment.
  • Engage with clients to enhance pet care education.
  • Collaborate with veterinary team to develop personalized care plans.
  • Stay informed on industry standards and contribute to clinic policies.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine
  • Specialization in a relevant field is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years experience in a clinical setting
