Veterinary Surgeon

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Veterinary Surgeon in Durban. You will play a key role in our clinic, performing surgeries, diagnosing illnesses, and providing vital care to pets and other animals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surgical operations and emergency care.
• Evaluate animal health and develop treatment plans.
• Provide anesthesia and post-operative care.
• Engage with pet owners to understand and address concerns.
• Implement best practices in animal safety and welfare.
• Collaborate in the training and supervision of junior staff.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development.
• Oversee inventory and equipment maintenance.
• Assist with community outreach and educational programs.
• Promote a positive clinic environment for clients and staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science or equivalent qualified degree
• Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in veterinary practice
