We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our Johannesburg office. You will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical systems that meet client specifications while ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in the automotive or manufacturing sectors, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of prototypes and products.
• Document engineering processes and project outcomes.
• Liaise with clients regarding design expectations and modifications.
• Conduct performance testing and make recommendations for improvement.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with project management skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Thermal Analysis

• Communication
• Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Engineering Technician (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in lean manufacturing practices: Knowledge of lean principles and their application in engineering designs.
