Job Description

We are currently looking for experienced Operating Engineers and other Construction Equipment Operators to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating underground mucking machines and ensuring the safety and efficiency of operations.

Responsibilities

• Load and haul materials like ore and rock using mucking machines.
• Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance.
• Follow safety protocols at all times.
• Log operational data and report to supervisors.
• Coordinate with fellow operators for seamless workflow.
• Ensure a high standard of workplace cleanliness and safety.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification

Experience

• Experience in gold mining or narrow vein mining preferred

Technical Skills

• Machine Maintenance
• Problem Solving

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Time Management

Certifications

• Valid Driver's Licence
• Mining Competency Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in gold mining environments: Proven experience in gold mining operations.
• Operating load haul dump machines: Experience with equipment used for loading and hauling in mining.
