Job Description

As a Coal Loader, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading of coal onto trucks, trains, and ships. Your role is crucial for ensuring smooth operations in our mining facility located in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of loading and unloading of coal from various transportation modes.
• Monitor coal quality and report discrepancies.
• Participate in safety briefings and training sessions.
• Work alongside experienced operators to develop skills in heavy machinery.
• Contribute to team efforts to achieve production targets.
• Help maintain accurate records of coal loads and maintenance activities.
• Engage in problem-solving to improve operational efficiency.
• Support other teams in related tasks as required.
• Meet productivity and safety metrics established by management.
• Demonstrate commitment to teamwork and a positive workplace environment.

Requirements

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role preferred

Technical Skills

• Heavy machinery operation
• Data recording

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in the mining or resources industry: Prior experience in a similar mining environment is beneficial.
