Refinish Technician

Job Description

The Refinish Technician will be responsible for preparing, mixing, and applying paint to vehicles to restore their appearance and ensure a high-quality finish.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surface preparation and apply base and top coats to various vehicle types.
• Mix and match paints to achieve the desired color and finish.
• Monitor drying times and environmental conditions to ensure quality results.
• Collaborate with other technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
• Ensure that safety protocols are followed strictly during the refinish process.
• Regularly clean and maintain tools and equipment.
• Provide feedback on paint performance and suggest improvements.
• Assist in training junior staff in paint application techniques.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Formal training in automotive refinishing and painting

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in automotive refinishing and painting

Technical Skills

• Color Matching
• Spray Gun Operation
• Surface Preparation

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Certification in painting and refinishing techniques

Languages

• English: Fluent
