Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to contribute to our diverse projects in Johannesburg. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design and construction processes align with client expectations and regulatory standards. Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach are essential to excel in this position.

Responsibilities

• Create and review structural design calculations and specifications.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to achieve project goals.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments.
• Review project plans and ensure accuracy of designs.
• Assist in quality control to meet client and regulatory expectations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to clients and stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation.
• Research new materials and building techniques for improved efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in the civil/structural engineering field

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Construction Management

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Certification
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
