Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems design, project management, and a passion for innovation.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative solutions for mechanical engineering challenges.
• Conduct simulations and analysis to optimize designs.
• Collaborate with suppliers to procure materials for projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
• Maintain project documentation and design records.
• Participate in design reviews and present findings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Thermodynamics

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certified Six Sigma Green Belt
• Lean Manufacturing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with industry standards: Understanding of ISO and other relevant mechanical engineering standards.
• Experience in renewable energy systems: Knowledge of mechanical systems for renewable energy applications.
