Public Health Officer

Job Description

We seek a Public Health Officer passionate about health promotion and disease prevention to join our Durban team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in implementing health initiatives, monitoring community health trends, and fostering partnerships with local organizations.

Responsibilities

• Assess health risks within the community and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Develop partnerships with local organizations to expand health outreach.
• Improve access to health services through community mobilization.
• Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of health programs.
• Prepare educational materials to increase health awareness.
• Serve as a liaison between the health department and the public.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's in Public Health (MPH) preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years in public health project management
