Environmental Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Consultant to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of environmental regulations and be passionate about sustainability. You will be responsible for conducting environmental assessments, developing compliance strategies, and collaborating with clients to enhance their environmental performance.

Responsibilities

• Assess the environmental impact of proposed projects.
• Draft compliance documentation and environmental reports.
• Develop risk assessment strategies related to environmental issues.
• Engage with the community and stakeholders regarding environmental initiatives.
• Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Research emerging environmental technologies and methodologies.
• Assist in the preparation of grant applications for environmental projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, or similar field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in environmental analysis or consulting

Languages

• English: Fluent
