Job Description

We are in search of a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisting with medical procedures, performing diagnostic tests, and providing high-quality care to animals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in handling and monitoring patients during veterinary visits.
• Perform laboratory tests and analysis on animal specimens.
• Guide pet owners through post-treatment care and follow-up.
• Educate clients on preventative healthcare options for their pets.
• Ensure all treatment areas are properly licenced and compliant.
• Participate in emergency cases and assist in critical care.
• Manage data entry and scheduling for veterinary visits.
• Contribute to the development of client education materials.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Veterinary Nursing or similar qualification

Experience

• 3+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician
