Job Description

We are looking for an experienced General Practitioner to join our healthcare facility in Pretoria. You will be responsible for diagnosing illnesses, managing patient care, and promoting health education to ensure a healthier community for all.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patient's health problems and medication management.
• Provide vaccinations and preventative healthcare.
• Develop and review health management plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Keep abreast of medical research and treatments.
• Participate in health education workshops and community outreach.
• Address patient concerns and queries compassionately.
• Engage in continuous medical education and training.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
• Evaluate healthcare services and implement improvements.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Postgraduate qualifications in Family Medicine or related field is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in family medicine or general practice

Technical Skills

• Chronic Disease Management
• Preventative Healthcare

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• HPCSA registration
• CPR certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Fluency in additional South African languages: Ability to communicate in multiple languages is advantageous.
• Leadership experience in healthcare: Previous experience in a leadership role in a clinical setting.
