Job Description

As a Heat Treating Equipment Setter, Operator, and Tender, you will play a critical role in enhancing the durability and wear resistance of metal components through precise heat treatment processes. This position requires hands-on experience with heat-treating equipment and a strong understanding of metallurgical principles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-treatment inspections of metal parts for any defects.
• Adjust heat treatment parameters based on specifications.
• Engage in root cause analysis for any process failures.
• Work with quality assurance teams to resolve product issues.
• Support maintenance activities for heat treatment equipment.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate or equivalent
• Technical diploma or certificate in metallurgy, materials science, or a related field is preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in heat treatment or metalworking

Technical Skills

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills

Soft Skills

Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with statistical process control and quality management systems: Understanding of quality standards and practices to ensure product integrity.
• Experience with various heat-treating processes, such as carburizing and nitriding: Hands-on experience with specialized heat treatment methods.
