Join our dynamic team as a Tax Consultant, where you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice and ensuring compliance with local regulations. This role is essential for guiding our clients through complex tax matters and helping them to achieve their financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file client tax returns, ensuring compliance with local laws.
• Provide proactive tax advice to minimise clients' tax liabilities.
• Coordinate with external auditors during tax audits.
• Conduct client meetings to discuss tax strategies and service offerings.
• Draft tax-related correspondence for clients and authorities.
• Profile and evaluate clients’ tax positions and exposures.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss best practices and process improvements.
• Assist in developing tax strategies for mergers and acquisitions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Postgraduate qualification in Taxation is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tax law or consultancy

Technical Skills

• Tax compliance

Certifications

• Registered Tax Practitioner (SA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
