Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Consultant to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of South African tax laws and regulations, providing guidance on compliance and tax strategies for our diverse client base.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough audits of client tax documentation for compliance.
• Draft and review tax submissions and provide feedback.
• Coordinate with external auditors and financial advisors.
• Advise on the tax implications of mergers and acquisitions.
• Research and resolve tax issues related to corporate structures.
• Prepare presentations for client meetings and workshops.
• Evaluate and recommend software solutions for tax compliance.
• Assist in the development of marketing materials for services.
• Monitor tax deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
• Liaise with clients to gather relevant information for tax returns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Master's degree in Taxation is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tax consulting or related roles

Certifications

• Registered Tax Practitioner (RTP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Transfer Pricing: Knowledge of transfer pricing regulations is advantageous.
• Experience with Auditing: Previous auditing experience will be helpful in this role.
