Network Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage routers, switches, and firewalls for optimum performance.
• Conduct thorough testing of network setups to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Advise on matters relating to network best practices and security.
• Participate in training and mentoring junior network engineers.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in network design and implementation

Technical Skills

• Network Architecture Design
• Wireless Networks

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Project Management

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of VoIP and telephony systems: Experience with managing voice communication systems.
• Experience with firewall and security appliance configurations: Hands-on experience configuring security appliances for network protection.
