Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. You will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and improving our cybersecurity posture. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of security protocols, risk assessment methodologies, and the latest in cybersecurity trends.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate security technologies and tools to enhance the security infrastructure.
• Create reports on security incidents and compliance metrics.
• Maintain documentation of security policies and protocols.
• Assist in the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Participate in security investigations and root cause analyses.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles

Technical Skills

• Threat Analysis
• Security Auditing

Soft Skills

• Problem-Solving

Certifications

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of cloud security: Experience with cloud platforms and securing cloud environments.
• Familiarity with security frameworks: Knowledge of frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001.
