Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to enhance our cybersecurity posture in Cape Town. Your role will involve detecting security breaches, responding swiftly, and advising on new security measures that align with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and report on security incidents and breaches.
• Implement cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security initiatives.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify critical vulnerabilities.
• Develop effective incident response strategies.
• Engage in continuous education to enhance security capabilities.
• Prepare detailed reports for the management team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Certification in CISSP or CISM would be an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity

• Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools: Practical experience using SIEM for real-time analysis of security alerts.
