Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our growing team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will be pivotal in assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions for clients to help them achieve their maximum potential.

Responsibilities

  • Assess clients' needs through interviews and standardized assessments.
  • Design and implement tailored treatment programs for individuals and groups.
  • Collaborate with other therapists and medical professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Conduct home visits to ensure a safe environment for clients.
  • Help clients develop coping strategies for managing disabilities.
  • Provide training to support staff regarding therapy techniques.
  • Monitor compliance with therapy recommendations and adjust as necessary.
  • Advocate for clients' needs within the healthcare system.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is an asset
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the therapy field, preferably in a clinical setting
