As an Industrial Engineer in Pietermaritzburg, you will play a crucial role in enhancing production efficiency and quality control. Your responsibilities will include analyzing workflow and implementing innovative engineering solutions that foster efficiency across various departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects focused on process efficiency and quality enhancement.
• Utilize industrial engineering tools and methodologies to facilitate decision making.
• Participate in planning and executing engineering change requests.
• Work closely with the IT department to implement automation solutions.
• Conduct workshops to facilitate Kaizen events and team brainstorming.
• Monitor production workflows to identify bottlenecks or challenges.
• Ensure teams are effectively trained in process improvements and lean practices.
• Evaluate technology solutions for enhancing manufacturing capabilities.
• Collaborate with vendors to source innovative production techniques.
• Develop actionable insights and present them to upper management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
