Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to take on crucial roles in design and project development in Port Elizabeth. You will be involved in all stages of engineering projects, from initial concept development through to implementation, while also focusing on advancing our commitment to innovation and sustainability in the engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Innovate and improve mechanical designs for better functionality.
• Oversee testing protocols and document test results.
• Provide technical support during the manufacturing and installation phases.
• Assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct research on new technologies and industry trends.
• Train and mentor junior engineers on best practices.
• Facilitate communication between engineering and client teams.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• MBA or related business certification is a plus

Experience

• Proven experience in project management and engineering design

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Mechanical Systems Design

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Time Management

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
• Lean Manufacturing Certificate

Languages

• Afrikaans: Fluent
• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing: Practical experience in building and testing mechanical prototypes.
